i added two youtube videos that shows the performance of an modified 500M as for details and also blacks. to give a hint of what these are capable of.
The benefits over todays OLED tvs from LG are: No vignetting near black No Noise near black No Banding near black No Black or Color crushing Correct Gamma near black. Higher Microcontrast and more details/colors near black which gives an image with Higher Dynamic Range. Higher Motion Resolution and correct colors.
The KRP-500 (Monitor) is the only Kuro with 10G parts in it. it can not be compared to the LX or KRP-A series Kuros.
This 500M is 3DLUT calibrated with 3200 colorpatches and an average Color dE of 0.26
This 500M is by far the cleanest Kuro i have ever owned with almost no PWM noise and flickering in the image. Razor sharp all the time. The perceived resolution is higher than from the old KRP-500A. Mostly because there is almost no PWM noise in the picture which brings out more details and calm to the picture. The Glass on the 500M is also better putting out more light with no light leak around bright objects. that adds more sharpness to the image. its almost like the image is glued outside the glass on the 500M compared to the 500A. Noticeable difference.
You dont get this kind of details from 1080P content even on 4K tvs. Screendoor effect ala 1080P OLEDs its not here. not even up close. (Sound is from the fans that is turned on manually to cool the panel down with the higher ABL and 700W peak power consumtion)
